On October 27 and 28, 2017, the MN Space Grant at the U of MN – Twin Cities is hosting a national post-eclipse stratospheric ballooning conference – AHAC 2017 – for teams from around the country to gather and share their eclipse-ballooning results and talk about their experiences. Over 100 attendees have registered and abstracts have been collected for over 20 oral presentations plus 40 posters. Most are about eclipse ballooning, though presentations on general high-altitude ballooning topics are also welcome.
On Friday evening, Oct. 27, there will be a public lecture by Prof. Angela des Jardins from the Montana Space Grant Consortium who organized the national Space Grant Eclipse Ballooning Project. This lecture will be open to the general public and will also be streamed live at this link (the lecture will be recorded to view in the future and will be available at this same link).
